Helping Hands provides free, independent and confidential advice support and assistance to all members of the public. We are specialists in helping people with all aspect of Welfare Benefit problems, debts, housing, employment, consumer, local and national government queries. We assist with form filling, letter writing and phone calls. We specialise in face to face assistance for people at our 'one stop shop' centres in South Wigston, Wigston Magna and Oadby. We also provide free computer terminals for those who are able to help themselves with information gathering or form filling. We look at the needs of the 'whole person' and encourage them to 'unpack' their troubles. Our unique 'outreach' services enable us to reach working age people in the county who are housebound for whatever reason. Our Welfare Benefit specialist is able to advice, assist and advocate on behalf of those who have to face Welfare Benefit appeals and Tribunals. Our Mental Health Support Worker will support people with mental health problems and encourage them into independent living. Our partner solicitors offer free limited legal advice on family law issues. We will contact our partners and other local services for those who need further help.
